At the junction is was still clouded but there were signs of improvement, so I took the chance and headed the 26k (16 miles) out to the point.... from the valley I had climbed 2,000 feet up to the junction and now it was addtional 2,500 feet up before dropping 1,500 feet to the viewpoint - a strenous morning...
