I have used culture as the criterium for defining the geography of Central Europe, which means Switzerland, Liechtenstein and South Tirol (Northeast Italy). I have been to this region a number of times but always backpacking to/around cities and big towns. Except for daytrips, I have never spent time in the countryside and mountains, so biking around this stunning region including the Dolomites and the Alps, has been a wish since I bought my touring bike in 2010.
