As mentioned it was freezing cold, so it came as no surprise that the promised downpour fell as hail and snow..... My tent is not made for winter conditions, so I was out several times removing snow from the tent cover preventing it from weighing down. Fortunately the downpour changed into slush/rain after 3 hours after which I could finally get some sleep....
