Interesting how humans have messed up the Everglades in their desire to "conquer" the land - straightening out the canals and introducing non-native trees. Now the trees have to be sprayed and killed before the canals can go back to their origin. Never mess with nature - our knowledge is too limited to comprehend the consequences of even small alterations.
