I was up at 7 and ready to leave at 8.30 but when saying goodbye we ended up talking for over an hour. Great insight to Jersey and its development the last 50 years. A very similar story to Guernsey where finance has replaced farming and only big scale farming is profitable to compete with especially southern European produce. The guy had been forced to lease his land to one of these few big scale farmers..
