I rode out of Qira late afternoon planning to camp after about 20k. Uphill and headwind 12k south out of town before the road turned west and I got a sidewind. The trees were small and fenced and soon it was flat, open desert so even the bridges disappeared. I bagan pushing harder expecting to go to the outskirts of the next town which would be another 60k and about 240k for the day - so much for an early evening. I was very lucky it was mostly downhill and the road turned northwest providing a side/tailwind....
