I reached small town Lenghu at 15 planning to quickly stock up and head out. Chinese bureaucracy at a police check-point prevented that - they said the road was closed to foreigners and I had to go back to Dunhuang eager to put me on a passing bus. Never take no for ananswer in China, so I spent 2 hours trying to figure out the problem and convincing them I needed to continue. In the end it turned out, it was some sideroads that were closed, not the one I wanted to ride! | |||||
