I rode into Akasai at 19.30 after 194k of mostly uphill. I looked forward to a warm dinner, a beer and a good night's sleep, but again I spent 2 hours (riding 10k) being refused at 10 hotels. One time a policeman even showed up 10 minuts after i arrived at a hotel and agrily told me to leave. It was dark so I gave gave up and found some trees at the outskirts of town where I lay down on my tarp with my sleeping bag - I had had no lunch or dinner but mostly I was tired. Just after closing my eyes, I heard a guy 10 metres away - I think he was a security guy for some construction equipment so I had to be quiet not to face the angry policeman again....
