Vendors everywhere - some were very persistent and pushy while others, with their tone of voice, revealed they didn't even believe the sale themselves. Worst were the many children often only 5-8 years' old begging and sellling instead of being in school. The problem is they appeal to many tourists who give them something and so they easily make more money than a grown-up (average daily salary in Myanmar is USD 5-10 per day). And they are much more cynical than the adults - when they realise there will be no sale they just leave and find another person to ask; time is money... | |||||
