It was a short roll down to the roadhouse where I got water and talked to a local guy about the Kimberley's. He didn't say so but it sounded very touristic/commerical with hellicopter and scenic flights, speed boats racing up and down the gorge, etc. On top of that it was privately owned and therefore very expensive - AUD 12 to visit one gorge and AUD 20 for another....
