Besides the bike problems I had two close calls during the 4k I managed to ride before the tube exploded - drivers getting impatient queuing and then suddenly turning left on a sideroad just in front of me without signaling. Despite the many bicyclists, Adelaide is not particularly bike friendly - it seemed somewhat dangerous that cars can park legally in the bike lane outside rush hours. So many parked cars that I had to ride on the road most of the day....
