I got some info and a map in the visitor center and set up camp 50 meters off the road between the visitor center and park entrance (at the Ranger Station). I figured it was okay as it was before the park gate but wasn't sure. However, the visitor info. had told there were very few rangers so I assessed the risk of detection minimal. Surprisingly no water tap at the visitor center so I biked down to the ranger station and got some from their rainwater tank...
