I initially wanted to do a loop around the peninsula but people told me there was little to see unless I rode 20k on poor gravel roads or wanted to see the historic site of Port Arthur prison camp (which I didn't because it was too expensive and I had nowhere to leave the bike during the day). So as clouds (looking like the US westcoast) came in early afternoon I decided to call it a day...
