The last 20-25k (13-16 miles) towards Fallon the bike made a strange noise but despite many stops and checks I couldn't identify it. Not until I got the luggage off and turned it upside down I could see it was the back tire falling apart. The worst tire I even had doing less than 3,000k (2,000 miles) - around half the distance of the second worst tire I had. DON'T buy this Specialised Armadillo tire - it's not worth the money and the 3 months guarantee is useless....
