The main road to Bay City was closed due to bridge repair with a detour of 32k (20 miles). However, people told me I could cross the river on the old highway if I was prepared for a horrible gravel road with many, big potholes... Well, it was gravel and there were potholes, but I have been on far worse roads, so people's road expectations must be high.... Here a view from the old highway.....
