After stocking up in Riohacha I waited an hour to take a collective (private car) to Uribia which I reached early afternoon. As many other places in the world a "mafia" dictated monopoly prices for tourists because competition de facto doesn't exist. One of the drivers followed me around preventing me from finding out the real price when asking the locals. After 45 minutes I got a small discount but I'm sure I still paid 50-100% more than the locals.... | |||||
