Despite a thorough search (off the bike countless times), I still hadn't found a spot one and a half hour later. Worse, it was getting late and I approached the downhill to a large open and cultivated valley where camping would be hopeless. So I pulled down an abandoned hiking trail - exposed to the road, sloping and lots of thorn bushes but there were no alternatives; the only upside was the view though the weather was poor...
