There was a forest 15k out of town but the slopes were too steep, so I had to continue another 15k to Pont de Gard famous for its Roman excavations and a huge aqueduct bridge. Being a UNESCO world heritage site camping was obviously not allowed, but despite lots of people I managed to slip behind some bushes. I had had dinner during an hour of lightning and thunder partly in the dark - shortly after getting in the tent a storm with heavy rain passed by so it was lucky timing... | |||||
