The logical things would have been to ride in from the south but the suburbs stretch farther and there are a number of forests east of Melbourne, hence my choice of riding that way. The wild camping fine is 200 AUS but once again I managed to sneak in and get a good nights sleep - this time in Lysterfield Park mainly used by mountainbikers that are not allowed to go off track...
