Still a terrible road to ride and just before the roadhouse a bus towing a car almost hit me. For once I had the chance to confront the driver whose response was "do you know how long it takes to get this bus back up to speed if I brake?". Maybe a minute and 20 cents in extra fuel - personally I assessed my life to be worth more. The selfishness and recklessness is just incredible and people seem to lose perspective - it must be a nice camp spot not to arrive a minute later. He was still at the reststop when I left 2 hours later!
