After 50k I had a late lunch in the shade of a tree on this very hot day and shortly after I met a German/Polish couple - naturally cheerful and not really acknowleging their advantage with the strong tailwind. It seemed common for the bikers going the other way - probably partly because they didn't notice much (only when stopping) and partly because they didn't want to diminish their feeling of achievement...
