I asked advice to get through Bunbury and was recommended to go around and then do the Old Coastal Road until it merged with the highway 15k north of town. In Australia a road can be called the Coastal Road if it's the closest to the ocean even though it's 50-100k away. On this road I didn't see the ocean at all but it did take me along a pretty and quiet inlet...
