It was overcast and looked like rain, so I tried to camp early but metal fences prevented me from getting off the road. Camping was also made difficult from steep slopes both sides and stony"beach" with unknown tides. Finally, a U-turn allowed me to cross the road and I went up a small gravel road ending up in a huge rubbish dump - smelly with hundreds of screaming seaguls but it was not the time to be picky, so I looked around. A gravel/stone surface could have worked, had it not been so steep and created by big landslides from the high hills - I didn't dare risk it with the rain coming.... | |||||
