With the bad spare wheel, I had countless broken spokes and flat tires every day. When it happened in a town, locals gathered around me like flies on shit - stepping on my equipment to check my tire pressure (even on the spare tires!) while giving "valuable advice" (in Farsi as no-one spoke a word of English). One time a guy came and said: "I am police" - I told him that unless I was doing something illegal or he was better at fixing my bike than me, I didn't know why he was there.
