Late afternoon I finally went over the pass, followed by a steep downhill through a small town. As always, I had to take a rim-cooling break on the way down but unfortunately it was next to a military area. Two military "kids" signaled to move on while I tried to explain the need for a short break. They didn't care, released the gun safeties and pointed at me - I figured they were unlikely to shoot me but still found it better towalk down the road... so much for Iranian hospitality! Shortly after I pulled in at a reststop where I got water and bought softdrinks - I was lucky one of the shop owners took USD as I had no local money... | |||||
