There was no moon out, so I had no idea about the surroundings. The only thing I could tell was that it was a gradual uphill all way during the night. Around 4, I took 2½ hours rest at the road side. No tent or anything - just lying on the ground and my rain gear as an extra layer of clothes to keep me warm in the cool wind. I didn't really get any sleep but it was a good rest....
