I had no expectation of what to encounter (except more sand), so I was blown away by the beauty of the mountainous ride down - and down it was... for 60k. For once I was happy about the strong headwind as it did most of the breaking for me. The ride was somewhat disturbed by the countless trucks racing by - an obvious choice for a national park prohibiting all commercial traffic...
