Overcast and cool until mid afternoon when the sun peeped through the clouds and when I rode in to Guazhou late afternoon after 140k it was sunny. Riding the last 5k from the main road into town, everything looked quite fancy – an oasis in the desert. A wide road with lots of trees and bushes, big monuments, a huge park with an artificial big lake and creeks, countless new fancy malls and apartment buildings, etc.
