The last 70k to Zhangye was on an excellent road (for Gansu - normal everywhere else) so i made good progress despite the strong headwind. It seems a pattern that I get a westernly headwind when it's good weather and an easternly tailwind when it's overcast. Another town not on my map though this one looked very new and could have been built during the last years...
