Alex had told me, the pass was at 3,550 metres but I didn't know how many kilometres the climb was as I never had a sign to reconcile with my gps to confirm it works for altitude as well. So I was very relieved when I finally got there early evening - especially because it was overcast and getting late so i needed to find a place to camp....
