It's impossible to say which travel experience has been the best – all have been fantastic for different reasons. If I have to highlight some favourite moments it would be:
-
Antarctica for the pristine nature and the rich and carefree wild life
-
Tibet for its wonderful people
-
Andes Mountains, North American Rockies, Himalaya and New Zealand for trekking
-
Angkor Wat in Cambodia as the most spectacular temple area
-
India and Japan for being the countries with the most and biggest contrasts
-
Hong Kong for being the most pleasant major city
-
The Seychelles and Barbados for the most beautiful beaches
-
The Orangutans in Borneo and a South African safari as the best wild life experiences
-
Galapagos, Sipadan in Malaysia and the Philippines as my favourite dive destinations
-
The Vatikan, Louvre and British Museum as the most impressive museums
-
Versaille in Paris as the most magnificent castle
-
Heli-ice climbing in New Zealand, paragliding in Venezuela and rafting in Nepal as the best activities
-
Egypt and Greece as the most fascinating ancient cultures
-
Italy for serving the best food

My best single trip was without dispute backpacking around the world for a year in 2008-09 with my girlfriend at the time amongst other experiencing orangutans in Borneo, numerous South Pacific bounty islands, interesting cultures and incredible trekking in South America, a once in a life-time trip to Antarctica and island jumping in the Caribbean - see the section "Jordomrejse 2008-09" comprising a copy of our homepage from the trip (text only in Danish).
