In Ely I stayed at the libray until 19.00 assuming it would be easy to pitch the tent. It wasn't - not allowed within city limits, in the tourist end of town (no local residents) and a gorge with steep slopes on the way out of town made things difficult.... A guy in a video store suggested next to the old railway tracks on a hill above town and since it was late that's where I ended up...
