In Sigurd I took highway 24 south towards Fish Lake but before continuing I stopped for shade and water - locals told me it was fairly flat up to the lake.... I should probably have been more sceptical with this info. as they had been drinking in the sun all afternoon, because a few kilometres out of town started a long climb....
