.. and when I saw a big mountain ahead, I knew I had to camp before I reached it. I asked several people in the last village for camping but they all looked horrified and warned me about bears. Riding out of the village, I camped in a plantation and though I didn't take the bear warnings too seriously, I decided to play it safe since I had a long rope to hang the food/toiletries in. I found it interesting how my long time in Canada/Alaska made me do everything on "autopilot"... | |||||
