Karkara was only 50k for the day (45k gravel), so I pushed hard to improve the number. 20k through the flat, grassland valley to Kegen and then a few more kilometres where I camped some hundred metres off the road. It was wide open and unprotected but nothing ahead looked different and dark clouds again appeared. I managed to get the tent up and cook before the rain come, but I ate in the dark and rain. Still lucky to finish eating before it became torrential rain just as I entered the tent... | |||||
