In Qaghiliq, I spent "the standard" 2 hours riding around town not finding a place to stay. Locals tried to help me but despite telling them not to, they always wanted to come in to the hotel which prevented the owner from taking the risk of having me. When by myself I was 2 times "approved" until other guests told the owner they couldn't host a foreigner. In the end, I found an overpriced place for US 12 - by the owner's doubt obviously illegal so I waved the money in front of him to tip him over and luckily he was greedy....
