... and not least fixing the bike. With the bad main road, I changed to my spare wheel that had done 12,500k on Australia's bad roads without problems. Moving the casette was a challenge - they are normally attached but it must have broken, so I had to assemble them individually - the upside that it was easier to clean. When oiling the chain the gears couldn't free wheel because of sand in the bottom bracket. I didn't want to change it as another sand storm could occur any time. However, I couldn't even take it apart to clean it so tough riding ahead. Not recommendable to do this kind of bike repair in a desert... | |||||
