I reached Zhongwei after 120k which was 20k more than google. The wind had slowed me down so it was late afternoon and with several hundred kilometers to the next town, I spent over an hour looking for a place but all was full and the locals were useless (more interested asking childish questions than helping). When i finally found a place I accepted despite being slightly expensive. After shopping and dinner i returned at 19.30 where i was told to leave because of the police. It didn't make sense and further inquiries revealed the problem was the owner. Most ridiculous experience ever - he could hve told me imimediately! I refused staying privately with an uncle for the same price and was lucky to quickly find another cheaper place.
