After 25k gradual uphill on a narrow winding road, it flattened out for 10k before becoming rolling hills. Many 90 degree turns for no apparent reason so either it was unfenced property or more likely for historical reaons. I had more straight E headwind than expected because of the many turns but most stretches were fairly short before the road again turned northernly. I had very little energy left the last 10k into town after my best push since Perth - 90k in 5 hours on a hilly and windy day...
