I was ready to leave on time at 4.30am but as the minibus hadn't arrived by 5.15 I called the bus company. They had forgotten me but immediately sent a car to pick me up and catch up with the bus – we sped through Paramaribo's streets at 120-140 k/h and caught up with the minibus a bit out of town....
