Despite being overcast I got up early the next morning and rode the 20k (13 miles) down to the canyon..... My plan had been to do the long ride to Cape Royal viewpoint but in weather like this it didn't make sense. Instead I did some of the viewpoints close to the visitor center.... this is the short trail to Bright Angel Point....
