I had initiallly considered riding along the Mediterranean all the way to Cannes, but the hot, humid and touristic coastline made it an easy decision to ride up the mountains at first opportunity which was at Cagnes-sur-Mer about 10k past Nice. Sweat was running off me like being in a shower and my clothes were soaking wet - so much for doing laundry. I made sure to drink a lot of water to avoid dehydration...
