The map showed many green areas, but they were private fields - and anyway didn't allow us to get out of sight from the road. We went down a number of sideroads without luck - several people in cars stared disapprovingly at us likely knowing our business there. It was all farmland with nobody living there, so we were lucky to stop Gianni in his car at this late hour. We asked if he knew a place to camp and he didn't hesitate to offer us to stay in his plantation - as long as we liked. Only trouble was we had to ride several kilometres up a terrible gravel road to get there... | |||||
