Lovely views but not enjoyable as I had 3 flats in 2k - the hot rim and bad wheel seemed a hopeless combination. An empty bus with driver Arthur and tour guide Sonia stopped to ask if I needed help. I hesitated but accepted a ride when they offered to help find new tubes in the next big city Kapan about 20k farther down the road. Also it was a good excuse to split up with Vincent without telling him I was tired of his company. When we got down to Karajan he was cold having waited in the street instead of finding a cafe?
