The highway went around Taraz, but i decided to go through town as it was 20k shorter. I considered calling Kanad but it was 17 and I didn't know if "having a rest at my place" meant staying overnight or just an hour for coffee. The town was big, noisy and busy so it might have been shorter but it surely didn't save me any time...
