Every day I encountered many misspelled English signs. Admittedly, I make a lot of spelling mistakes myself and it's very different from their own writing, but these are public signs (street signs, advertising, shop names, etc) so being a little more meticulous would be expected - "anything worth doing is worth doing well". And really, it's not worth doing as very few people in this part of China understand just basic English....
