As I left to ride further up the Bay of Fires my rear gear cable broke. I spent an hour trying to fix it but unfortunately without luck - annoying to have the parts/tools but not the skills. I quickly got a ride back to town but no bike shop. I was referred to Colin who fixes bikes on the side and had to wait all afternoon for him to close his shop and fix the bike. The gears skidded a bit more than before but I was happy to be able to move on...
