It was a very windy night and morning. I had a S sidewind so it only took 2 hours riding the 42k into South Hedland - of which the last 5k into the wind and town took ½ hour. A dangerous stretch with countless roadtrains going to the harbour in Port Hedland. It was Sunday so almost everything was closed. I stocked up food and water, sat outside McDonald's an hour using their free internet and had lunch before heading out at 13.30...
