Despite it being late afternoon/weekend and having no reservation, i managed to find a private room for USD 3 - very simple with only a mattress on the floor but that's all I needed. The temperature was pleasant 20-22C and unlike the hotels I had stayed in, this was an international hostel and a good chance to socialise, so I ended up spending all my 4 extra days in Malaysia here. The first 3 nights were okay but the last two the hostel turned into a party place with newly arrived young selfish people...
