The border took two long hours equally distributed leaving Laos and entering China. Just after the border, the bus filled up, so I had two people on either side on 5 in the bed above, all wanting to get out every ½-1 hour where the bus stopped for a 5-10 minute-break. It went on all night which meant hardly any sleep – exactly as predicted when I initially didn't pick this bed....
